Welcome to the Eta Theta Chapter

President's Message
Greetings Sorors,
I am deeply honored and overjoyed to welcome the Eta Theta Chapter of Laurel, MD (Prince George’s County) into the sisterhood of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. The chapter was chartered on November 22, 2025. It is with a grateful heart and spirit of excellence that I am ready to serve as the first Chapter President. I am on this Iota journey with 26 other phenomenal “charter” sorors who bring a wealth of expertise as entrepreneurs, program administrators, financial managers, educators, counselors, community advocates, and most importantly womanhood and motherhood. We are women and sisters united by a mission to make a meaningful difference in our communities and redefine the power of sisterhood.

Prince George’s County has nearly one million residents and over 200 public schools, which means our communities can benefit from Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.’s national programs, projects, and scholarships. I have served in various community organizations across the county for over twenty years. I have seen firsthand the needs of our neighborhoods. As chapter president, my desire is for the Eta Theta Chapter to execute workshops, webinars, and events that deliver results of improving the well-being of residents. Therefore, our chapter’s theme for this year is, “Building Bridges to Business Education, Financial Empowerment, and Community Impact”. Every initiative we launch should serve one of these pillars to help truly transform the lives of women, youth, and families.
I would like to take this time to send special love to our newly inducted sorors and very first chapter line, “The Div1ne Assi2nment”. These twelve amazing women have already brought so much enthusiasm and experience to the table that we have already been able to hit the ground running. Ladies, we love you and are so glad you have entered Iotaland. As you navigate this winding green road, please hold our founding principles and all the things you have learned about sisterhood in your hearts.

To my dear sisters in the Eta Theta Chapter and all across Iotaland, may the golden links of friendship and love forever hold us close as we walk the path of an Iota Woman. Serving as Chapter President is an honor I hold dear, and I look forward to the incredible milestones we will reach together. I pray that this year is one of growth, joy, and profound success for every sister in our sorority.
In Faith and Sisterhood,
